Shit, I forgot about the Metroid anniversary

2 days off shouldn't be too bad...

metroid is 40 (in Japan)

but metroid didn't release in the US until the next July (on some indeterminate date)

maybe i should do something for that

Anyhow, I watched some streamer play Other M for the first time, and I've come to a new conclusion about the game:

The problem with the writing is that the author's self-insert character was Adam Malkovich, rather than Samus Aran. If you could go back in time and swap those two bits somehow, the game would be drastically better.
