On a lark, I decided yesterday to catalogue every contest hack that hack been submitted to a contest on MetConst. Check out the list here.

As an article, it's probably quite dry, but I hope it proves to be a useful resource to some folks.

ADDENDUM: 2024-11-26

Made some slight adjustments to the MetConst Contest hack list. Namely, I added the results of the Starbase contest, and indicated that Isolation is now available on the main site.

Please note that some of the hacks marked as "NOMS" are now Lost Media after Metroid Construction got hacked a couple months back and all the forum attachments got deleted. I made a thread on the MetConst forums addressing this issue. Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks to the help of OmegaDragnet on MetConst, all missing contest hacks have been recovered.

ADDENDUM: 2026-06-28

It's a bit belated of me, but the MetConst Contest hack list has been updated once again. The new information this time includes:

• The last Halloween contest (several months ago)
• The Ambureon hack showcase (just ended)
• The Ocean Ruins contest (ongoing)

Also, I put an asterisk next to Cryogenesis to indicate that (after nearly 5 years) it has received a major update. People are saying it's an all-timer now!

Ambureon got to play my most recent hack for their showcase last night, but I won't be releasing it until the Ocean Ruins contest ends. Please understand. :)
