couple things done recently include: a HUD which is made of sprites, and collision between the player and fae.

need to make a youtube video tomorrow to show off the progress

one major thing i need to learn how to do is scrolling levels. today i managed to get working a scrolling text engine, which is a first step towards scrolling levels. so i feel decently accomplished about this. going to have to think about how to do this again in a slightly more complex context to move forward again

i wrote a subpixel implementation for the scrolling text and it does not work because it writes a line and then immediately overwrites it with a blank line. so i seam to have written this in a way that it only works whenscrolling at exactly one pixel per frame. which is hilarious and awful.

might just need to rotate the bird

tile collision kinda works, but i had to take the compromise and make specific left/right/up/down walls cause it was way easier
