The Adventures of Batman and Robin (Genesis) - "Psycho Section" (Stage 3-3)

Pretend I'm post a bajillion Deltarune songs and remixes in this topic right now.
wow look at all thos songs and remixes
Gleylancer - Intro
A minute and a half of droning noises and military drums followed by three minutes of the most heavenly melodies on the Mega Drive.
(Really, you should just look up the intro cutscene -- it's incredible.)

saguaro grooving to the beat like a cartoon from the 20s

i could imagine a saguaro dancing to this
📷👁👁
Friend of the artist sent me this a year or so ago. Wish the live part was higher quality but🤷
I always thought Pepperbad until I was recently informed Peppergood
man... peppergood indeed
look at me (RRThiel x John "Joy" Tay collab)
oh man this sounds great. Sounds like a bangin vg credits track
A tad more aggressive than my usual fare. Introduced me to the game its based on:
Fatum Betula
For far longer than you'd think possible I thought this was called Cracked Heaven to Pieces
Thunder Force IV - Air Raid [Stage 3B] (SNES Arrange by A M 4 N)
I blame this artist with leading me down my path of listening to micro-sample madness
Mega Man 1-11 X-Style Remix Medley by mega sfc
took me ages to figure out why I thought parts of this sounded familiar but there's a section around 2min that really reminds me of a track from Axiom Verge
i love it when a song makes me go "oooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii"
It's a rare feeling in music and hard to find, makes my hairs stand on end. Usually heavy on the bass. I try and keep track (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9LETa1iPt6i4QSDVDHLSOTmIvMBAYwmQ&si=npUtllt5Pe4Va9g0) when I find them
i played that one on loop for awhile, the feeling wore out... old addict tendencies are hard to get away from sometimes. but i'll take a good song over the bad stuff
yea its difficult to find songs that maintain that wow factor for long and I'm the same way, jamming the same tracks/albums hundreds of times until I burn out on them. I think that's why my music tastes tend to get crazier year after year
:hey: the electronic stuff hits hard tho, that's lately my jam: autechre, kaitlyn aurelia-smith, helene vogelsinger, phonewifey
Mega Man 7 - Intro Stage (arr. by MegaBaz & Kawashin)
Lazy Days by trayson (ft. gubebesoso)
i have this album on vinyl and cd btw, it's great

Kinda tangential to what you're saying, but I'm thinking how the trend with generative music has been less-and-less crazy, and more-and-more normative. Early experiments tended to sound like "kid banging on a keyboard", but could work quite well as an element in a composition under skilled hands (see: Streets of Rage 3).
Nowadays, Suno AI can produce supremely "competent" sounding pop music in a bajillion genres with word-salad lyrics, but it chokes at doing anything musically non-normative (such as: time signatures besides 4/4). My coworkers generate a lot of Suno songs "for the lolz", so I am too familiar with the kinds of musical tropes it can soullessly imitate (I regard the software as a mind virus).
Anyhow, since I mentioned Streets of Rage 3, I might as well poast the whole soundtrack:
Mario Teaches Typing (CD-ROM Version) - Practice Makes Perfect
this can't be real
no, it can't be... NO
I didn't believe it either until I looked into it
One of the case and point songs for "my tastes have gotten weird". Audio was an inspiration for making the picture
very nice
writes down "D class enzyme inhibitor"
was initially gonna write the side effects of one of my meds for the description but I didn't have the pamphlet handy so the description is just from monoamine oxidase inhibitors. And if you enjoyed this you'll probably enjoy the album (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mWNAvibvaUCY6r1CDqcCpVULyEPTx4tDU&si=Myyn0o0oDPR8P5c-). One of the strangest things I've heard that straddles the line between cacophony and melody in a way that really draws me in and has inspired many of my art pieces
this is in the standard rotation for the college radio i often listen to on the drive home from work. tonight was one of those nights.
