In reference to the 3 word post I wanted to add the qualifier that I didn't make the base image (credit goes to kikkujo). I was practicing glitch techniques and used their work as a base

The original

Made from a physical print that utilized a color deficient printer with some digital editing afterward
edit: also used audacity to databend the image before printing

using audacity on images... now there's an idea. what sorts of things have you been able to do with that?

For a good while it was the main thing I worked in. Here are a few of the first things I produced with Audacity that I thought looked decent.

A few others: a self portrait and some video pieces. The video projects took frickin forever so I don't tend to do that much anymore but the results can be interesting. With images the data can tolerate most nonsense you apply to it but video has a much more complicated data structure so most glitch art techniques just give you a corrupted unreadable file.

Short Video of some gameplay (https://youtu.be/MvYFCt83zKk)

Video to surprise like 3 people (https://youtu.be/zdAwxMxcBOQ?si=J-yiYkJTQaCsccRK&t=4329) that took like a week to make. You don't need to know much of the context other than I wish more people put strange odd things in very dry and long videos to keep people on their toes

this is really great, thank you for sharing with me. processing images with audio filters is definitely going on my list of things to try now. all the pieces you shared are really cool.

i've never actually used either one but as a viewer i really like mtgo over arena because of how straightforward the presentation of the game is (and im just more familiar with looking at it i guess). videos of people playing mtgo is a big nostalgic comfort thing for me now  :smug:

showing that video in the middle of an mtgo match is amazing i love this ♥️

have you ever played Shandalar? i used to play that a lot it's a hoot. it's about the only place you'll get to play with the extremely busted ante cards.

They each have their strengths and weaknesses. I use to play a bunch of arena but after my cards rotated out I just stopped. Grinding into decks was fun once but I didn't enjoy it enough to do it again. I almost exclusively play mtgo these day. It isn't flashy but I'm too used to the maximalist control style and prefer the card acquisition model. Having money and "what is the expected value" be a constant thought is pretty toxic tho but I'm used to it at this point.

I haven't but its something I've been aware of for awhile. I've heard enough good things about so I might give it a go at some point
